We use a blend of safe synthetic and natural fragrances. This is because all-natural (or essential oil-based) fragrances can be irritating to skin and are not inherently safe.
We also take into consideration the environmental impact of gathering natural fragrances. The sources of some natural oils (like sandalwood for example) are becoming scarce and/or are at risk of extinction due to commonly being used in fragrances. In these cases, a man-made alternative is a more sustainable option.
What about phthalates?
Phthalates are a group of chemicals known to be endocrine disruptors and are often commonly in proprietary fragrance blends. They’re not required to be disclosed in ingredient lists, but we’re proud to confirm that all Good Time products are phthalate-free.
What about palm oil?
Palm products used in our Cleansing Body Bars and Hydrating Conditioner Bar are sourced according to rules set by the RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) which is the global standard for sustainable palm oil production.
Our ingredient exploration takes into consideration several complex environmental factors associated with the use of plant oils including what plant and region the oils are sourced from as well as if there is a system in place to ensure responsible sourcing of the oils.
